1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using NameGrid, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Accounts & Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create a NameGrid account. You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
3. Our Role as a Reseller
NameGrid is an authorized reseller of domain registration services, not an ICANN-accredited registrar. Domains purchased through NameGrid are registered through our registrar partner's platform, and your registration is also governed by that registrar's registration agreement and ICANN's policies. If our relationship with a registrar partner changes, we will take reasonable steps to keep your domains registered and accessible.
4. Domain Registration & Ownership
When you register a domain through NameGrid, you become the registrant of record, subject to the policies of the relevant registry, our registrar partner, and ICANN. NameGrid facilitates registration but does not claim ownership of domains registered by customers.
5. Wallet & Payments
NameGrid offers an optional wallet balance that can be funded via credit or debit card and used to pay for domain registrations, renewals, and transfers. Wallet funds are non-transferable to other accounts and are held solely for use within NameGrid.
6. Refunds (2-Day Guarantee)
Standard domain registrations may be refunded within 2 days of purchase, subject to our Refund Policy. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method or NameGrid wallet, at your choice.
7. Renewals & Expiration
Domains must be renewed before their expiration date to remain active. NameGrid may offer auto-renewal, which you can enable or disable at any time. We are not responsible for domains that expire due to failed or disabled auto-renewal.
8. Transfers
You may transfer domains into or out of NameGrid subject to registry rules and our registrar partner's transfer policies, including any applicable lock periods following registration or a prior transfer. Transfer fees, where applicable, are shown at checkout.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use NameGrid's services for unlawful purposes, to infringe on the rights of others, to distribute malware, or to engage in phishing, spam, or other abusive conduct.
10. Intellectual Property
The NameGrid name, logo, and platform are the property of NameGrid and its licensors. Registering a domain does not grant you any rights to NameGrid's own trademarks or brand assets.
11. Disclaimers
NameGrid's services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Because domain availability, pricing, and registration are processed through our registrar partner's systems, we are not responsible for outages, errors, or delays originating from those systems.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NameGrid will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services, including loss of a domain name.
13. Suspension & Termination
NameGrid may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or use our services in a way that harms NameGrid or other users.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on our website. Continued use of NameGrid after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which NameGrid is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
